I’m writing to let you know about the new Science and Engineering Indicators 2012 State Data Tool unveiled by the NSF National Center for Science and Engineering Statistics as part of the January release of the 2012 S&E Indicators volume by the National Science Board. The tool allows users to organize, rank, map, and compare state indicators on R&D inputs and outputs, workforce, science and tech in the economy, and postsecondary and K-12 education. In terms of web tool functionality and flexibility, I think the State Data Tool represents a large step forward for NCSES.
For those with membership organizations, Jeri Mulrow (email@example.com), who oversaw the tool’s development, would be pleased to talk with you about the possibility of a webinar presentation.
